Please, fill out the Housekeeping Request Form provided in your unit OR download our Bear Country App to submit your request through the App. Submit your request before 10 AM for same-day delivery.

You may take your extra garbage and recycling to the bins provided on the Parkade level or request garbage pickup using the housekeeping request forms.

DO NOT leave garbage outside the unit.

Your unit will have one pouch of coffee for your arrival. If you need more you are welcome to ask our Front Desk team for extras or request more coffee by using the housekeeping request forms.

Your unit is a self contained unit, so we do recommend you bring anything you think you may need for your stay such as milk, spices, condiments etc.

We do have some designated pet friendly units. Just look for the paw print on a property when searching! Daily pet fee applies. One dog only.

Our hotel has outside and parkade parking on a first come first served basis. A nightly fee applies.

Our hotel has two common hot tubs for our guests to use. One indoor hot tub and one outdoor hot tub. Only guests staying at the Cahilty Lodge are permitted to use the hot tubs.

Cahilty Lodge is centrally located. The ski slope is right out the backdoor, so you can strap on your skis and ski straight down to the lifts. The Village Platter offers night skiing. You can enjoy skiing longer and ski right back to the Cahilty Lodge.

Always respect the neighbors! Please keep the noise down between 10 PM and 7 AM daily. Bylaw offers do patrol the areas.

No, unfortunately, each of our units have a total capacity that must be adhered to.

We do have a limited amount of cribs that may be available for your stay. They are on a first come first served basis, please check when booking.

Yes. Our hotel has a common ski room to store your skis/boards/bikes.

If you cancel before 30 days of your arrival date, the 1st night deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival date, the whole stay is non-refundable.

A non-refundable Processing Fee of 3% is applied to every booking.

The taxes are currently as follows: PST (8%), GST (5%), Municipal (3%)

We have a zero-tolerance smoking and vaping policy within or around the hotel. Fines will apply.

Email our team at reservations@bearcountry.ca. The team will check for the item in the room and the storage for lost and found items and contact you if it is found. It is then up to you to arrange for collection either in person or via a courier. Our recommended courier is Sun Peaks Cargo.

Conditions, Policies, and Procedures for Occupancy

Thank you for booking with Bear Country Property Management (2018) Ltd. Please carefully read our policies and procedures listed below and contact our office at 1-800-811-4588 or e-mail: reservations@bearcountry.ca, if there are any questions or concerns regarding the following:

CHECK-IN LOCATION:

For reservations at the Cahilty Lodge please check-in at the Front Desk. The hotel is located at 3220 Village Way, Sun Peaks.

For late check-in due to travel or other delays, please call ahead to confirm arrangements.

A valid VISA or Mastercard is MANDATORY for check-in!
We do NOT accept AMERICAN EXPRESS, VISA/Mastercard DEBIT cards or CASH!

DEPOSIT POLICY: An advance deposit equal to your first nights stay (including taxes) is due at time of booking to guarantee your reservation. Final payment will be automatically charged to the visa or master card on file 30 days prior to arrival. For reservations made within 30 days of your arrival date, full payment is required at time of booking.

A non-refundable Processing Fee of 3% is applied to every booking.

If you booked your stay through a third-party company, please refer to their deposit policies.

Please note that you are booking with the understanding that there will be no refunds for cancellations due to COVID-19. By making a booking with us you understand and acknowledge that should your trip be affected in anyway due to COVID-19 you will not be guaranteed a refund.
We recommend purchasing the appropriate travel insurance for your trip.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR DIRECT BOOKINGS: If you cancel your reservation MORE than 30 days prior to your expected arrival date, an amount equal to your advance deposit is forfeited. Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to your arrival will result in forfeiture of full amount. In the event that a reservation is altered by either a later arrival date or an earlier departure date, there will be no refund made to charges already put through on your credit card.

For all cancellations the processing fee is non-refundable regardless of when the booking is cancelled and no matter the reason of cancellation.

SECURITY POLICY/DAMAGES: Your credit card is recorded upon check-in to cover any damages, excessive housekeeping costs or miscellaneous charges accrued by guests. This credit card will remain on file for the duration of your stay and further until we are able to inspect the property after your departure. The tenant is liable for any damages to the premises, to furnishings, to equipment, hot tub (if applicable) and to household items which occur during the tenant’s occupancy, excluding normal wear and tear. The tenant is also liable for any missing items, e.g. towels, kitchen utensils, etc. A $50 processing fee will be added to any damages or missing items billed.

MINIMUM NUMBER OF NIGHTS: Min. number of nights are in effect depending on the size of the unit booked (# of bedrooms) and the dates of the reservation (e.g. Christmas/New Years period). Please check with our reservations department for details.

MINIMUM CHECK-IN AGE: For Cahilty Lodge the minimum age for check-in is 19 years.

PETS: Designated pet-friendly rooms are available upon request. Pet fee applies – $30 per dog per night. A $ 350.00 fee applies if a pet stays in a not as pet-friendly specified unit or if a guest is bringing a dog without letting us know before check-in.

SMOKING: All our properties are NON-SMOKING! This policy is strictly adhered to and any violation will result in substantial additional charges. This includes balconies, patios, indoor areas, hot tub areas and outdoors within the complex.

UNIT ASSIGNMENT: In the rare event of booking conflicts with homeowners or unforeseen maintenance emergencies, Bear Country reserves the right to substitute comparable accommodations up to and including the day of arrival with no additional charge to the tenant. If there is no comparable unit available, Bear Country will issue a full refund to the guest for the accommodation.

QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours begin at 10 PM and end at 7 AM. Please respect your neighbors! There is a bylaw in effect and bylaw officers are patrolling. Infractions or noise call outs may result in fines of up to $500. Loud noise, loud music, loud voices, running in the corridors of the hotel, playing in the elevators, high traffic in/out of suites, and loitering are not permitted and can result in immediate eviction with no refund. Noise levels should be at an acceptable level as judged by other guests and Hotel Management. If Hotel Management receives a noise complaint, we will only give one warning to quieten down. Receiving a second complaint will result in the unit(s) being asked to leave the property and no refund will be given. Thank you very much for your cooperation!

BEAR COUNTRY reserves the right to evict guests/tenants without any refund, if after a verbal warning by the manager on duty, the guests continue to pose a noise disturbance or a safety risk to other Bear Country guests or Bear Country staff.

PARKING: Parking spot or underground parking on first-come, first-served basis. A nightly charge applies.

The kitchen cleaning is the guests responsibility.

COMMON HOT TUBS & FITNESS CENTRE AT CAHILTY LODGE
1. The fitness centre and hot tubs at the Cahilty Lodge are open.

2. There is strictly no glassware or food to be taken in or around the hot tub and fitness area.

3. Please use the showers in the indoor hot tub area before use of the hot tubs. This serves as a protection for you and for others, also reducing the quantity of chemicals that need to be added to the hot tub.

4. Your hot tub is provided for the exclusive use of the guests staying in your unit only. No other users are authorized to use the hot tub.

5. Children under 12 years of age must be supervised, there is no lifeguard on duty.

6. Our hot tub crew stop by daily, to ensure water quality and levels.

7. If the hot tub requires extra maintenance due to careless actions, extra charges will be charged back to the guest.

8. The hot tubs can temporarily close for a few hours whilst our team carry out a fresh water change. They will be up and running later that morning.

9. Please wear clean gym shoes in the fitness centre.

10. Please be courteous to other users when using the gym equipment.
