The founders of Cleavage Axe Co. wanted to create a space where people visiting or living in the Sun Peaks area can come for a fun and exciting time. They wanted everyone to Axe-perience a great and memorable time. They have definitely succeeded. Axe throwing involves throwing an axe at a target in a protected area of the throwing range. If you’ve never thrown an axe before, don’t worry. You will be provided with plenty of instruction and pointers on how to hold the axe, different throwing techniques, and how to aim from your Axe Coach. Your Axe Coach will be with you the whole time you are in the range. Once you get the hang of it, your coach will teach you different axe-throwing games and you can even set up a little competition amongst your axe-throwing partners.
Children over age 10 can participate in axe throwing as long as they are supervised by someone over 19. Even smaller kids can come and play with plastic axes and darts.
It is recommended that you make a reservation because it can get pretty busy at Cleavage Axe Co. Walk-ins are welcome, though. Even if you can’t start right away, you can make an in-person reservation for the next available time. You should arrive at least 15 minutes before your start time to complete all the check-in procedures before you begin so you can optimize the time you spend in the throwing range. All guests are required to wear closed-toed shoes.
There is a lounge where you can relax after your axe-throwing experience. Soda, beer, and snacks are available at the lounge. Cleavage Axe Co. is a cash-free place, so be sure to bring a credit or debit card. The Cleavage Axe Co is open every day of the week. On Fridays and Saturdays the hours are 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and the other days it is open from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. It’s about a 20-minute walk or a three-minute drive from Cahilty Lodge at Sun Peaks.
